Workshop: Learning from Disasters - Analyzing Responses to Colorado’s Extreme Floods of 2013 Since catastrophic flooding hit Colorado’s Front Range in 2013, understanding how communities recover from disasters and build resilience has become a crucial question across the state. Over the past four years, local and state government personnel have generously given their time and energy to help us investigate this question and understand the experiences of flood-affected communities. As our National Science Foundation-funded study of Colorado’s 2013 floods wrapped up, we invited these people to participate in an all-day workshop designed to present our initial research findings and solicit feedback.
